Notes: The chateau of Sully-sur-Loire was built in the 14th century at a strategic crossing on the Loire River. The river flows through the Loire Valley, which is known as the Garden of France, as it is filled with vineyards, orchards, and fields of artichokes and asparagus.

Notes: Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert is located in a narrow valley between the Gellone and Hérault rivers.  It was a stop on one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
