Day Sixty-Four

Notes: This is Olavinlinna Castle in Savonlinna, Finland. Construction on the castle was started in 1475, and the city was founded 1639 because of the brisk trade business generated by the castle.  The castle itself is on an island, and has three towers (which you can see in the photo).

Notes: Lohja is a city of almost 40,00 people in southern Finland.  The main focus of this photo is apparently supposed to be the church amidst the trees on the right, as that is what the caption on the back of the card references.  It is the Church of St. Lawrence, and dates to the 15th century. 

I'm glad I double-checked this entry before it posted today.  I had both images showing the same card.  Oops!
