Day One Hundred Fifteen

Notes: Eltz Castle is located in western Germany, and is surrounded on three sides by the Elzbach River.  It is actually still owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in the 12th century.  That's over 30 generations in the same family! Even though it is privately owned, it is open for public tours.

The sender was nice enough to include an old purplish stamp on the card, as purple is my favorite color. The value on it is listed in Reichsmarks, which have not been in use since 1948.  That gives you an idea of just how old it is.  It looks like this, except it is dark purple in color and is worth 2 marks instead of 3.
