Notes: Here are various locations in Milan.  I was able to identify most of the.  At the top left is Porta Sempione, a gate that includes a triumphal arch known as Arco della Pace (the Arch of Peace).  Next is the Milan Cathedral, which took nearly six centuries to complete.  It is the 5th largest cathedral in the world.  I'm not sure what the first picture in the second row shows, other than a river.  But next to the river is Santa Maria delle Grazie, a Catholic church and Dominican convent.  Finally, the bottom row shows San Siro Stadium, La Scala Opera House and Sforza Castle.

Notes:  This is the famous Grand Canal in Venice.  The boats are part of the Historical Regata, which takes place on the first Sunday of September.  The bridge in the background is the Rialto Bridge, the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal.  The central portico of the bridge is open, but shops line the ramp on either side.
