Notes: This is the Church of St. Johns (John the Baptist and John the Evangelist) in the Old Town section of Vilnius, Lithuania.  The tower, which is separate from the church itself, is the tallest building in Old Town at 226 ft. in height.  The sky looks rather ominous to me in this photo.

Notes: The statue is called Poilsis, or Rest.  It is located in Druskininkai, a spa town in southern Lithuania.  The name of the town comes from "druska", the Lithuania word for salt.  It is the salt and other minerals in the local water that prompted Czar Nicholas I of Russia to bestow the status of spa to the town in 1837.  By the early 20th century, it was one of the most popular resorts in the area.
