Notes: Heidelberg Castle is a partially ruined castle on a hill above...here's a surprise...the city of Heidelberg in southwestern Germany.  It has been destroyed and restored many times over its history.  Even though part of it is in ruins, the castle attracts over 3 million visitors a year, mostly from the US and Japan.  I have visited it, although I was far less impressed with it than I was with Neuschwanstein.

Notes: It's Christmas in July!  This is the Christmas market in the town of Goslar in central Germany.  The caption on the back of the card, which is in German, says that the market is in front of the town hall.  I'm not exactly sure which building is the town hall, but rest assured that it is one of them!
