Day Two Hundred Eighty-Nine

California - Oakland Coliseum, Oakland

Notes: The Oakland Coliseum is a multi-purpose stadium, home to both Major League Baseball's Oakland Athletics and the NFL's Oakland Raiders.  It is the only stadium in the U.S. to serve as a full-time home to both a MLB and a NFL team.  As pictured, the stadium is set up for a Raiders game (you probably knew that as it says RAIDERS in one of the end zones).  The standard seating capacity for baseball games is 35,067, while for football games the seating goes up to 56,057.

California - Yosemite National Park

Notes: This is Yosemite National Park, one of the more famous national parks in the U.S.  This is another card Ryan sent to me while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, as the trail goes right through the park  He pointed out that this photo shows no snow on the mountains, which is apparently quite different from when he hiked through the area.  Hiking through deep snow certainly doesn't sound like very much fun to me!
