Notes: Wat Phra Kaew, also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is regarded as the most sacred temple in Thailand.  The Emerald Buddha statue is either about 26 inches (66 cm) or 30 inches (76.2 cm) tall, and is made out of either jasper or jade, depending on which Wikipedia article you read.  Ahhh, Wikipedia.  Only the King of Thailand is allowed to touch the statue to change the cloak three times a year.  The temple was built in the 18th century, although the statue was created centuries earlier in India.
