Notes: The collection of the Tinkertown Museum in Sandia Park, New Mexico (east of Albuquerque) started as a hobby for Ross J. Ward in 1962.  Over the next 40 years, he carved figures out of wood, first putting them on display at county fairs and carnvials in the 1960s and 1970s.  Today, his collection is housed in a 22-room museum with walls made of 50,000 glass bottles.  In addition to the scenes with the hand-carved figures like the one shown here, the museum has collections of wedding cake toppers, antique tools, bullet pencils and more.  As the sign in the lower right says, this scene is called "Dreamers in Paradise (Teachers on Vacation)". You can see photos of other exhibits on the museum's website.

Reading that title, I half expected to see a picture of me.
