Notes: This is one of those cards that was sent from one country but shows another country.  So which country does it show?  I'd have you try to guess, but I would be willing to bet that no one would come up with it.  You would probably start guessing other European countries, but it is actually on a different continent altogether.  It is...*drumroll please*...French Guiana, one of the three smallest countries in South America.  Specifically, this is the Centre Spatial Guyanais in Kourou, French Guiana.  It is where the Ariane rockets are launched from following an agreement by France, Germany and the UK in 1973.  These rockets are 'expendable launch vehicles', meaning they are only meant to be used once.  Versions 1-5 of the Ariane rockets had 210 successful launches out of 221 attempts.  Ariane 6 is in development and is slated for launch in 2021-2022.
