Frightening Float

Notes: These brightly colored, lighted floats are part of the Aomori Nebuta Matsuri.  In case you don't know what that is, I can tell you that Aomori is a city of almost 300,000 people in northern Japan.  The Nebuta Matsuri, or Nebuta Festival, takes place every August, and involves carrying nebutas, or floats of a brave warrior figure, through the city center, surrounded by costumed dancers. There are other nebuta festivals in Japan, but the one in the city of Aomori is the most famous.
