Notes: The Uluwatu Temple is a Hindu temple on top of a cliff on the Bali Peninsula in Indonesia.  It is one of six temples believe to be Bali's spiritual pillars.  The temple is surrounded by a forest that is home to hundreds of monkeys.  The cliff top is one of the most popular places on the island to watch the sunset, as it offers spectacular views.  Uluwatu is also the number four surfing destination in the world, according to a CNN article from July, 2013.

Notes: This is the Monte Cassino Abbey, a Roman Catholic abbey located about 81 miles southeast of Rome.  It was founded by St. Benedict of Nursia around 529 A.D., thereby establishing the Benedictine Order.  During the Battle of Monte Cassino, which took place between January and May 1944, the abbey made up one section of the German defensive line that was meant to keep the Allies from advancing farther into Italy.  In February, 1944, the abbey was almost completely destroyed during heavy American-led bombings.  The abbey was rebuilt after the war and reconsecrated by Pope Paul VI in 1964.
