Notes: The Dolfinarium in Hardewijk, Netherlands opened in 1965, after Frits den Herder, owner of a shipping company, had spent a decade collecting marine mammals.  In addition to the bottlenose dolphins shown on this card, the park also has porpoises, sharks, rays, seals, sea lions, walruses, lobsters, crabs and various other fish and marine animals.  The area where the dolphins live is the park's largest tank, which holds 15 million liters of water.  In addition to the marine tanks, the park also has restaurants, shops, playgrounds and a beach on Lake Wolderwijd.  An hotel is also being planned for the park.

Philippines - Tinago Falls

Notes: Tinago Falls is located on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, and is one of the main tourist attractions of Iligan, also known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls.  Tinago means "hidden", which is appropriate as the falls are hidden in a deep ravine.  Tourists wishing to visit the base of the falls must climb down around 500 steps...and then, of course, climb back up them on the way out!  The falls are 240 ft (73 m) tall, and have a series of five drops on the way down, ending in a basin-like pool.
