Notes: If you took a state capitals quiz, would you know that the capital of West Virginia is Charleston?  It seems to me that it would be one of the capitals that a lot of people forget.  Charleston was chosen as the capital city in 1877, 14 years after West Virginia officially became a state.  Construction on the current state capitol building began in 1925 after the previous building burned down.  It is 292 feet (89 m) tall, making it the tallest building in West Virginia. By comparison, the 73rd tallest building in Chicago, according to this list, is 550 feet (168 m) tall.  According to the back of the card, the chandelier hanging from the center of the dome is make from rock crystal and weighs 2 tons.
