Who's Hungry?

Wisconsin - Mars Cheese Castle, Kenosha

Notes: If you happen to be driving on I-94 between Milwaukee and Chicago, you probably won't be able to miss seeing Mars' Cheese Castle.  Not only is there a 80-foot tall sign right next to the interstate, but a castle is a rather unusual sight in Wisconsin.  As you might suspect, they have a large selection of cheese, but they also have meat, bakery, sweets, jams & jellies, condiments, beer and souvenirs (including postcards, obviously).  The current building is fairly new, as the old building had to be torn down due to the widening of I-94 in 2009.

Wisconsin - Schreiner's Restaurant, Fond du Lac

Notes: Head farther north into Wisconsin along Highway 41 and you'll get to Fond du Lac, home of Schreiner's Restaurant.  The interior, including the waitress uniforms, is quite old-fashioned, but the food is good and reasonably priced.  My parents would eat there frequently when they drove to the casinos up north or to see my cousin in Green Bay.  I stopped there with my dad on the way home from that same cousin's wedding in Oshkosh back in June.

There is nobody in the parking lot of the Cheese Castle. This doesn't bode well.

It was packed the day I bought the card, but that is the only time I've every been there, so I don't know if that's normal or not. I suspect that it is.
