Notes: The Arkansas State Capitol, located in Little Rock, was built between 1899 and 1915.  As it was on the grounds of the state penitentiary,  prisoners helped to built it.  The exterior is made of limestone, quarried in Batesville, Arkansas, and the 10-foot tall front doors are made of bronze.  The cupola at the top of the dome is covered in 24-carat gold leaf.  The building's design actually won a competition...to become Montana's state capital building, but it was deemed to costly and Montana went with a different design.

It's too bad you didn't have a postcard of the Montana state capitol to show what they did go with! =)

Unfortunately, that's one of the state capitols that I am missing.
