You Don't Want to Taste This Rainbow

South Carolina - Rainbow Row, Charleston

For:  US to US Traveling Envelope Round Robin - Group 74: Buildings/Architecture
Notes: I have posted several cards showing rows of the historic houses in Charleston, South Carolina.  This card shows a closer view of a couple of them.  They are part of Rainbow Row, which was named for the pastel paint colors of the 13 houses in the row.  The houses weren't so colorful when they were built; they were renovated and restored in the 1930s and 1940s.  That was necessary because this area of Charleston was not very well taken care of after the Civil War.  They certainly look much better now!
